 As a Chef, I was inspired to cook growing up as a child. I started from cooking leftovers in the fridge, breaking all the rules with mixing American and Chinese together and turning it into a work of art. I was always teased because I loved cooking leftovers and nobody else wanted them. They called me the “Garbage Man”, but always said my food smelled good. I went on to look up more fresh ingredient recipes and grew a love from using all fresh ingredients. 5 years later, I'm here! I’ve created a platform within my business to showcase my great culinary skills working as a private chef creating signature dishes that gives all clients a new and fresh outlook on flavor.

My inspiration for cooking comes from my childhood experiments in the kitchen and watching my grandmother cook each Sunday morning. She instilled the craft for culinary in my life. I’ve always loved to cook for my family and grew an interest for culinary with their support. I started my career in the hospitality industry in catering, where I enhanced my knowledge and developed my skills for cooking and event services. With my experience, I was able to partner with a great great chef to create Ivy Collins Events, LLC that gives me the opportunity to continue to express my passion for culinary arts.

Jairus and Nekeshia collaborated on the idea of starting their own business opportunity of opening a food truck, offering private chef services, and event planning. We've created I.C.E.- Ivy Collins Events, LLC as a service to deliver a great catered meal, meal prep or private dining experience. I.C.E. creates delicious and inspired dishes using only the freshest ingredients, emphasizing great taste and exemplary style. Talk to us about your next event.
